Jack Lieberman’s students may know exactly what choice words to use to describe how they feel about him being fired.

Lieberman says he was ousted from his job teaching English as second language for explaining the nuances of profanity to his adult students – at their request.

Lieberman told IJ reporter Rob Rogers he didn’t want his students to make embarrassing mistakes on the job or with friends, so he took 10 minutes before a class break and deviated from the Tamalpais Adult School curriculum. He “tastefully” attempted to explain to his students that there are off-color words that sound similar to “sheet” and “beach” and why they shouldn’t mix them up. (more…)
