Teaching Opportunities With ESL
Teachers can find more job opportunities in high school math, bilingual, English language learners (English as a Second Language) and special education, she said. Teachers with elementary education certificates, especially majoring in English and social studies, may have the toughest searches.
“Every year, there are (only) a few jobs for elementary teachers because of retirements,” said Bloomington District 87 Superintendent Bob Nielsen.
There also are more choices for teachers willing to relocate. “Rural and smaller communities have as much need as ever,” Curtis said. (more…)

Effective Communication In The Criminal Justice Process
Communication in general can be broken down into the following components, blaming, directing, persuading, and problem solving. Within verbal communication, you have various methods of approach to these ends. Understanding that verbal communication is not just the speaking but listening as well is highly important and should be explored.
To understand what another person may be attempting to tell us takes good listening skills. According to Grubb, Hemby, “Generally there are three purposes associated with either casual conversation or public speaking: to inform, to persuade, or to entertain.” (more…)
